Indigo Dialogues: A Systemic Encounter with Kenta Watanabe – Where Colour Becomes Consciousness
The meeting with Kenta Watanabe was not only a visit to his indigo atelier — it was a dialogue between art, spirituality and awareness.
For two hours, surrounded by the living scent of fermentation and the silent rhythm of blue, we explored how the indigo process mirrors the systemic and reflective dimensions of coaching. The importance of space between the indigo artist and indigo process. Any emotion impacts the good result of the blue.
Kenta explained that creating indigo takes a full year — a cycle of care, transformation, and patience. The slow dance of oxidation, water, and time becomes a metaphor for presence and relational depth.
Through the systemic mapping, we observed how his project already follows a natural intelligence — the way networks of people, plants, and purpose interweave. This reflection illuminated what more could be done to refine his process and reach the “divine result” — not perfection, but harmony.
Indigo, like supervision, reveals what is hidden: the invisible layers that connect action to meaning. Each tone of blue carries the echo of transformation — from darkness to light, from unconscious to awareness.
In this sacred alchemy, the team coaching process can find a new metaphor: working together as colours merging, deepening, and revealing the essence of the whole.

渡邊賢也氏との出会いは、単なる藍染工房の訪問ではなく、芸術・精神性・意識のあいだに生まれる対話でした。
発酵の生きた香りと静かな青のリズムに包まれた二時間、私たちは藍染のプロセスがコーチングのシステミックでリフレクティブな次元をどのように映し出しているかを探求しました。藍染めの職人と藍のプロセスのあいだに生まれる「間」の重要性。どんな感情も、青の仕上がりに影響を与えます。
賢也氏は、藍をつくるには一年という時間が必要であると語りました。それは「手入れ・変容・忍耐」のサイクル。酸化・水・時間がゆっくりと踊る過程は、「プレゼンス」と「関係性の深み」のメタファーとなります。
